Automatically sort email into views

Filters tell Gmail which future email belongs in a view, so it arrives already organized in Mejl.

Open Filters in Settings

Open the account menu, select Settings, then choose Filters. Select the plus button beside the Filters heading to add a rule.

Choose what should match

Choose what an email must match. You can match its sender, recipients, subject, body, or existing views. In this example, mail from [email protected] matches.

Choose a view and save

Set the action to add to a view, choose the destination, then select Add filter. Future matching email will be added to that view.

Good to know

Gmail filters apply to future matching email. Use the three-dot menu beside a saved filter when you want to edit or delete it.
