Switch between Gmail accounts

Mejl shows one Google account at a time. Use Switch account on the web, or sign out and sign in again on your phone.

Updated October 20, 2026

01

Switch accounts on the web

Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Switch account. Google asks which account to use. Pick another account, or add one, and Mejl opens its inbox.

02

Switch accounts on iPhone or Android

Open the account menu from your profile picture in the top-right corner and choose Sign out. Then sign in with Google again and pick the other account.

03

Know what belongs to each account

Each Google account has its own views, automatic sorting, snippets, and settings in Mejl. Views are Gmail labels, so they belong to the account where you created them. Mejl Plus applies to the account that subscribed.

No unified inbox

Mejl does not combine several accounts into one inbox. Your phone shows notifications only for the account you are signed in to. To read two accounts side by side, sign in to one on the web and the other on your phone. For setting up work accounts, see Mejl with Google Workspace.
